Sometime rejection give birth to a legend....  I remember Amit Kumar in an interview told that his father Kishore Kumar was rejected outrightly by his own brother Ashok Kumar from an audition!!! He said :"Kishore accha nahin gaaya".... That rejection made Kishore as Kishore!!! !

Good post!

Hi Raksha,
That's another way of rejecting manuscripts. You're right, rejection doesn't necessarily mean failure.

Well have been through this when i went to publishers of my book.... but thankfully i was succeful... after many rejections.... and when I know I am good.... i don't bother anymore... publishers are commercial people ...thats why their way of looking is different....but that doesn't mean give up!!

You worded it well.

That was beautiful. The desperation of a writer captured in so few a words. It hurts like hell to get rejected. Have had to deal with such rejections myself. They're all very polite and nice about it, but still it stings. But, as you said ... it doesn't end with this. Reminds me of  a dialogue in Om Shanti Om ... Picture ka end agar acha nahin ho to samjho picture abhi Baaki hai.
